So i rebuilt my entire computer a long time ago and bought an Asus Prime X470-Pro and an ryzen 7 2700x. Everything went smoothly untill i came to the promt screen which said CPU ERROR!. The cpu cooler works fine but the Cpu Cooler appreantly doesnt get registered and i cant change the lighting on it. I would really like help with this as i like to change up colors in my system from time to time.
dude - what is your problem
1. CPU error // your CPU is not working
2. CPU Cooler not RGB
1. do a CMOS reset
2. is Cooler plugged into RGB-Header of MoBo?; correct cables used? correct headers used?
show us a picture of your RGB in BIOS
well - in your bios xD
look through all the pages:
for me it is under "peripherals"

yours wouldnt be called RGB Fusion but "Aura" or "RGB" or "RGB Aura"
it WILL be there
ok - enable it
go into windows and download the ASUS Aura software - then set your CPU Cooler to your wished color
is the fan actually spinning?
what are the temps in BIOS?
maybe the Cooler is defect - you will get a Wraith Prism for 10-15€ on eBay - so dont hassle with RMA on a dead cooler
but you can try to plug your CPU Cooler on a different CPU FAN header
Yes the fan is sipinning and i can play with it perfectly fine. The temps are normal i just cant get the motherboard to register it actually being plugged in.
please show me a picture on what header your CPU Fan is plugged in ;)
The cpu cooler is plugged into CPU_FAN And i no longer get the promt screen saying "CPU FAN ERROR" anymore. I realised i plugged it into the wrong header and its working i pressume. Only issue im having is that the aura creator tool is not registering it which is a common bug more people complain. And i dont know a work around.
would be nice if you could give me a kudo for my suggestion to check the CPU FAN header ;)
as i havent own any ASUS MoBos since 2001 i cant help you with ASUS AURA... :/
