Hi georgent, in short no. I am waiting for a reply from Realtek and I am still searching the internet. Hopefully they will reply eventually or maybe someone will find an old driver that works. For now I will just have to rely on WIFI, but at least I got Windows Creators Update shoehorned onto my system. It should not be this hard.

  after new BIOS update (F.45 Rev.A, 17 May 2017) from HP, SUCCESSFUL update (not clean install) to Microsoft windows Creators Update (without any change to BIOS settings) !!!

Finally the HP fix the problem (for HP laptops), so

THANKS to HP (and AMD and Microsoft...I think they worked together)!
