The processor is supported by the boards, but - only since the BIOS version 2409, not before.

No, that processor is not listed on Asus motherboard CPU SUPPORT List as being compatible: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/TUF-Gaming/TUF-B450M-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_C...

Here are all the APUs 4000 series processors that are listed:

Ryzen 3 Pro 4350G

Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G

Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G

The Ryzen 3 4300G is a OEM/TRAY Processors that is sold directly to manufacturers of computer systems. It isn't a Retail Processors that is covered by AMD 3 year Warranty.

The processor is supported by the boards, but - only since the BIOS version 2409, not before.

Your Asus Motheroboard model does not SUPPORT the Ryzen 3 4300G as I mentioned in my first reply.  It is not listed under CPU SUPPORT List.

Now this  Asus B550-Pro does list  the Ryzen 3 4300G as being supported: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/TUF-GAMING-B550-PRO/HelpDesk_CP...

ASRock has a large selection of Motherboards that supports the Ryzen 3 4300G processor: https://www.asrock.com/support/cpu.asp?s=AM4&u=641

But if you insist that your Motherboard supports the Ryzen 3 4300G then I guess you will need to learn the hard way.

Good luck!

This is the official response from an AMD representative.

AMD has nothing to do whether a motherboard supports a processor or not. It is the Manufacturer of the Motherboard that decides which processor their motherboard supports via BIOS updates.

The processor is not officially supported.

The processor is unofficially supported.

Decided to delete my answer. Served no purpose.

It's just that it's already tested and the processor actually works on a b450 board.

Deleted my answer because it served no purpose.

When I asked the question, I still didn't know if the processor would work or not?

About Asus, I think they know perfectly well that the processor is supported. Why it was not added to the list of supported, I can only guess.

Maybe because they want to promote a new board based on the b550 chipset ?!

But nonetheless. Thank you for your time.

Speculation: On Amazon, some of the processors advertised as Ryzen 5 Pro 4650g were recognized in the BIOS as Ryzen 5 4600g. But, these processors functioned without issue. The 4300g, 4600g and 4700g processors appear to be identical to their Pro 4x50g counterparts. Some motherboard manufacturers may not have explicitly announced BIOS support for them - because they are rare, relative to the Pro 4x50g processors? Perhaps, AMD considered releasing the 4300g, the 4600g and the 4700g as retail units, then they changed their minds and re-labeled them as OEM?
