I have the amd 1055 processor and it wont let me play the new call of duty modern warfare. Is it compatible  with the required amd fx-6300?

The Phenom II X6 1055T is Socket AM3 and the FX-6300 is Socket AM3+, so depending on your motherboard it may or not be compatible. Check the CPU support list on your motherboard's support page.

No the Phenom II x6 1055T is a good processor but the FX 6300 is a faster and more powerful processor.

Here are the comparison of both Processor from CPU World:

There are a few AM3 Motherboards that does support an upgrade to the AM3+ FX6300 with a BIOS update. But as mentioned previously, you need to go to your Motherboard's Support site CPU Compatibility Chart and see if the FX6300 is listed and what BIOS version you need to install to support it.

Otherwise you would need to upgrade your Motherboard for a newer Processor like the Ryzen or FX8350.

CoD:MW needs a more powerful CPU than some dinosaur AM3 unit

It also needs a lot of RAM and its very demanding on the video card too
