I am having some major issues with my HP XW9400 with 2 Opteron 2435 processors after Microsoft Security Rollup Jan 2018. AMD and Microsoft says they fixed the issue with older processors but that is still not the case. My machine does boot, but it BSOD and I had to roll back the update. The new rollups are cumulative, which means, I cannot get security updates anymore. This is a big problem with me because I use this machine for work and being updated is a condition of me using my personal computer to connect to the office network.
While I understand that I am using a processor that is 9 years old, it does still fits my needs and have had a long history with this model. It would be a shame to retire this early. Is there any chance that this can be fixed in some way?
