4600H high temperature

Hello everyone

I just bought a laptop Honor magicbook pro, with AMD Ryzen 4600H (more specs here https://www.notebookcheck.net/Honor-MagicBook-Pro-4600H.492746.0.html)

On different reviews, I saw that it stays cool, even under load.

But with CPUID HWMonitor, I had an heart attack when I saw CPU temperature under "load". I just ran a basic Cinebench, and CPU immediately reach 99 degree celsius (210F). Fans were skyrocketing.

Usualy, when doing "nothing", CPU temp is between ~30 and ~40 degrees. But, doing a simple antivirus system scan again triggered CPU at max temperature...

Is it expected to reach such value ? Is HWMonitor reliable ?

Thanks for you advices.

Hi, I was having the same issue on my 4600H laptop. I followed the instructions on this YouTube which turns off the boost mode without any additional software and it helped a lot. My high temps while gaming got into the 95 degree range before and now it's in the 65 range. Hope this helps!

Bring Temps WAY down on your Ryzen 4600h/5600h or 4800h/5800h laptop while gaming. - YouTube
