So on occasion when I start up my pc, the clock speed sits at around 1.4-1.5ghz. The only way to fix this is to reboot the pc and generally it goes back up to 4.35 ish area. Im on latest chipset drivers and also on a ROG x570-e gaming motherboard. I do not have a manual overclock on and it is all stuck as stock settings. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
There are two recent threads related to your issue. For me, the cores (several of them sometimes) are locked at 500 Mhz. But it seems as a few others on this forums have reported it and it seems to be affecting all 3 series processors. I have the 3900X and I see this issue. The first thing I am trying now is to disable Fast Start Up in Windows to see if that was the issue.
Have you tried disabling Windows Fast Start Up?
I can give this a try but the fact that it rarely happens makes me think it's something else. What motherboard do you have? X570?
