So I have a 3700X running the stock cooler on an X570 Taichi motherboard. Whenever I hit it with an all-core load such as HandBrake, Cinabench, etc... the frequency goes all the way down to 3.9 GHz with temps around 77 and spiking to 80. According to the task manager the CPU idles around 4.2 GHz. Have I received a bad chip and/or are there BIOS setting that I can change to increase performance? I have seen other people's chips running with higher frequencies online, so I'm confused.
Still way higher than the base one, so it's normal.
Maybe you can get 100-150 MHz more with the better cooler, but can't promise.
i have the exact same issue as you, in RM the cpu will spike to 4.2 all core when the pc isn't really doing anything but as soon as i hit Cinebench my all core boost drops to 4.04, my single core boost will only ever hit 4.2 as well instead of the max 4.4
