1950x Lagging In Games - GTX 1080

My new build is lagging in most games i play and i cant figure out why. Good example: PUBG stutters like im using an Intel i3 and a 750ti...

Specs:

Threadripper 1950X

Zotac GTX 1080 AMP!

Asus Prime X399-A

32GB RAM

Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD

Corsair H100i V2 Liquid Cooler

Note: All nvidia drivers are up to date and the ssd isnt even close to being full so i have no clue.

I keep hearing about the High Precision Timer having severe impact in Threadrippers and most multicore processors in gaming.

Perhaps you need to disable yours? (It can be disabled both in windows and in the bios.. usually known as HPET or High Precision Event Timer)

Have you tried using the Ryzen Master Tool For Threadripper and tried toggling Local/Distributed Mode and turning SMT On/Off? These little tweaks can help improve performance in some situations.

Could also be related to your GPU/GPU drivers.
