Maximum supported texture size

Hello,

I recently purchased a Radeon RX 9070 and wanted to ask if this is still the case for the 9000 series cards.

I read about this on: Stratum Resourcepack System Requirements - Continuum Graphics

If yes, could you explain why? Can AMD graphics cards support higher texture sizes?

I am considering trying out the 1024x and 2048x texture packs, thats why im asking this.

Thanks!

Simply based on the vRAM requirement it would seem that no, the RX 9070 (with "only" 16GB of vRAM) will not handle the 1024x or 2048x texture packs, unless they factor shared/virtual graphics memory in with the dedicated, and even then the system memory requirements are steep.

Why not just download it and try it out? Either it'll work or it won't.
