I've always had some issues with this build, but I never understood R9 390 overheating. I'm forced to run any game in Fullscreen with FRTC limit to 60 and Power Efficiency turned on. Tried different settings, like changing Power Limit or the Global Settings, but even in low demanding games with Low Preset, if I turn off FRTC/VSYNC/Power Efficiency or change the resolution to Borderless, GPU temperature starts to go up paired with the fan noise. I can run the majority of the recent games, except open world type of, with a solid 60fps, but in most cases I can't play them, even with FRTC/Power Efficiency turned on in Fullscreen, because I have good FPS, but awful temperatures and fan noise. This all happened with stock settings, the settings that I'm currently using helped a little but don't fix the issue. Sorry, for my english.

80C is not hot for that 390. They can get a little noisy on heavy load though.
My 390 after 10 min. gpu-z render test running off.vbios fan control (no 3rd party fan control)
That is on the F91 vbios, update on gigabyte website, check your version in gpu-z advanced setting
I understand that 80C in Full Load isn't much, but i don't understand why it reaches that temperature when, for example, i'm just on a game menu. The most recent example i came across was in the game Dead by Daylight, that as soon as i get to the menu the GPU starts to heat up to 85C without me actually playing the game.

VBIOS
I've tried to update VBIOS, but i don't know how to do it. On GIGABYTE's website the only existing version is the F91, and according to GIGABYTE, the version "F10, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F11-F19". Where can i find these VBIOS versions?
Sorry for taking so long to reply.
You would have to contact Gig. support about your particular card edition vbios update (mine came with the F91).
Have heard of some game menus go crazy high gpu use with vsync off, does it happen with vsync on in that game.
Someone else may be able to help with that, or on the game forum.
but 80 °C is normal for a high end game in pc right?, so why do you want your GPU cooler than that?
I don't know how to create new post so i hope i can post my questions here
1. I get temp. Above 90° while playing Watch dogs 2 on high settings. Is it normal? I can run Fallout 4 on ultra settings and the temp doesn't reach 90°
2. On the box says recommended PSU 600W but i've been running it on a PSU of 450W. How do i know if it's enough or not.
3. I have an rx550 4GB lying around, can i use crossfire with these 2 cards?
