GPU fan curve in "one-click" overclock mode on RX 7600 seems weak.

Greetings,

I'm a proud owner of a humble XFX QICK 308 RX 7600 and Ryzen 5 3600X combo. When enabling the "One-Click" overclock GPU in the tuning tab of AMD's very own Adrenaline software, I've noticed my custom GPU fan curve, on Afterburner, being overridden. Usually there would be no issue with that, but the curve that takes over seems not aggressive enough! Even when the GPU veers closer to 80 °C, fans still spin no faster than 50%. I'd like to know if this is alright regarding the GPU's long term health. I've managed much lower temperatures with custom curves.

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Hello @V8RNGINEPOWER,
The "One-Click" overclock in AMD Adrenaline overrides custom fan curves, often prioritizing noise reduction over aggressive cooling. While 80°C is within safe limits for the RX 7600, prolonged exposure to higher temperatures may impact longevity. For better control, consider manually adjusting the fan curve in Adrenaline or reverting to Afterburner for custom settings.

Yo @V8RNGINEPOWER

Man, I feel you on this one!

It’s super annoying when the "One-Click" overclock in Adrenaline just takes over and ignores your Afterburner fan curve. I’ve been there with my RX 6700 XT, and it’s like, c’mon, why’s it so chill about cooling? :question_mark: :exclamation_question_mark:

That 80°C you’re seeing is technically fine for the RX 7600, but yeah, I wouldn’t be comfy letting it sit that hot for too long either. Gotta keep that card happy for the long haul, RIGHT?

If you’re loving Afterburner’s setup, I’d just skip the "One-Click" OC and stick with your custom curve. It’s so much better for dialing in exactly what you want. Or, if you’re cool staying in Adrenaline, you can mess with the fan curve in the tuning tab to make it more aggressive—maybe crank the fans to like 60-70% when it hits 70°C? That’s what I do, and it keeps my temps down in the low 60s even when I’m pushing the card hard.

FEELS WAY SAFER.

You noticing anything else funky with the "One-Click" mode, or is it just the lazy fan curve bugging you? Drop us an update on what you try—I’m curious to hear how it goes!

Happy Gaming 😄 🥳 🥳 🥳
