double temperature

Hello team,

Using the app MSI afterburn, I get 2 temperature status from the GPU.

What is that mean?

70C core and 85-87C hotspot is normal. Nowadays gpus are designed to run this hot. I would start to worry about airflow if hotspot was more than 95C or 100C. Of course lower is better for longetivity.

EDIT: The hotspot is the temperature of the hottest sensor on the gpu core.

Go to MSI Afterburner settings -> Monitoring and there you can select what metrics you see in the overlay. It could be alot of things gpu hotspot, voltage regulators etc. I would guess it's the gpu hotspot temperature.

Sorry sir, another question, I did some research online but I could not find what exactly is the Hotspot?

I usually game my 7800XT and the temperature of the GPU is 70º and the hotspot is 85º-87º.

I'm not a specialist in PC but I know that above 70º could be a problem for the hardware.
