Hello,
I am experiencing a recurring issue with my ASRock RX 7800 XT graphics card. During gaming sessions, the screen randomly goes black, and the GPU fans suddenly ramp up to 100%. The system itself continues to run — sound remains, and Windows is responsive — but the display does not return. Only a system reboot helps.

After rebooting, the AMD Adrenalin software reports a driver failure, and I have to reinstall the driver for the card to function again. This issue occurs even when GPU and memory usage are below 100%, and temperatures are normal.

I have tried the following without success: - Clean driver installation using DDU - Disabling Resizable BAR (SAM) - Running with no overclocking or undervolting - Reproducing the issue on a clean Windows installation - Using a reliable 750W PSU - Testing older drivers (e.g., 23.12.1)

Others with the same ASRock RX 7800 XT model have reported identical problems online.

What is ASRock doing for other users with the same problem?

I wrote to asrock support 2 weeks ago, but they didn't answer me.

Factory boost clock for a 7800XT is 2430MHz and looks like the ASRock Steel Legend OC boost clock is up to 2520MHz.

Have you tried setting the max clock at 2430 in Adrenalin tuning to see if the issue occurs when limited to stock frequencies?
