9070 XT GPU frequency boosting over 3400MHz and causing crash

Hello!

We have two identical PC with XFX 9070 XT.

The stock gpu clock boost speed should be 2970MHz, but under max load it boosts over 3400MHz and this cause crashes in games.

Is it normal behavior? It hould boost to 3400+?

I did manually set -400 offset, now the gpu clock speed is around 3000MHz and everything works fine, no crashes at all.

25.3.1 and 25.3.2, is is the same.

Thank you in advance!

It's not unusual to boost well over 3,000 - even up to 3,300 but I haven't heard of 3,400 before. I am guessing your temperatures are very good, considering the card has boosted that high. Have you done an undervolt by any chance?

It does however seem like you have found a good solution, at least for now. You could try increasing your offset to -200 or -100, since it is normal to boost high when power and temperatures allow. See if it's stable then - don't want to leave any performance on the table.
