Same issue here. Replying to keep this thread alive. I also created a bug report on the game itself here: https://support.activision.com/feedback-and-bug-report

Setup:
Ryzen 9 9950X3D
ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX OC
MSI MPG X870E CARBON WIFI
G.Skill DDR5 Trident Z5 Neo RGB 2x32GB 6000 CL30

I did the same.

I have

Gpu AMD Sapphire Pulse RX 7900 XTX (25.3.2)

Cpu AMD Ryzen 9 7900X

Ram G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32GB DDR5 RAM (2x16GB) 6400

Samsung 970 evo 500 GB for Windows 11 Pro 24H2

Samsung 980 pro 2 TB for games

Asus Rog Strix B650-A gaming WiFi (latest bio update)

Asus Rog Strix 850w

And the Call of Duty on Rebirth, Verdansk,Zombies and Multiplayer have huge stuttering input lag,fps drop and crash with DirectX error and timeout drivers

I have tried all the old drivers for gpu and i have tried old and new chipsets but again the same problems and i can't play with Fidelity Cas because i will get instantly DirectX error

I also tried with disabled D.C.O.P and disabled overclock but again the same issues

I think i will buy Nvidia because my friends with Nvidia doesn't have any problem

Hi again,

after testing with my old bios version F32f with the 24.12.1 driver, for playing only Warzone Verdansk, I can show you, what my way is at the moment, to handle the situation & playing some funny rounds - it works fine & without any stutters - for me!

X3D Turbomode is on, Expo1 too & all the other things in the bios default or auto! Autostart apps boot only what you really need, how AMD. Give you here my AMD & CoD settings by any screenshots:

Edit: CoD-settings --> dynamic resolution --> expanded --> Target: 180fps

FidelityFX-Cas --> expanded: 50

With these AMD/CoD-settings, FOR ME the game looks fine, works fine, buttery soft, so I can truely play a few hours & have fun! Only one thing stays - the game crashes very rarely. For that, I reduce the GPU-clk now from 2800 to 2750, maybe then to 2700/2650/2600, if it chrashes again & again. I hope it will help some of you & pray to god, AMD/Activision will react. I report the error-code also again to both & gave them the link for this & one other thread here.

You have frame generation enabled; this is the "magic" that makes stuttering unnoticeable. Still, you can notice it a bit even with frame generation on.

Yes, I know that, so I mean it's no magic & normally I played without fg, but it's maybe at this time the only way to play the game - no sorry, to be able to play Verdansk reasonably well, I think. Urzikstan was also terrible sometimes, always only the big maps making trouble! What me really helps too, was the enabled dynamic resolution, makes it (fps drops) much more better, also the powerlimit set to +15% for both.

Even moderators does not come here. 😂

Today, it was the first day since a long time without any game crashes. 🙏 I played with these ^^^ settings for me (with GPU-clk max. 2750), a few hours really pretty well. Yes, sometimes can feel a little bit stuttering behind the Frame Generation feature, but compared to before really smooth & playable. For me maybe the best way at this moment, to be able to play Verdansk bearably, until AMD/Activision will do something & fix it!?!

Good flight, good night!

Still awaiting a public response from either company....

User on ‘X’ posted that one of their followers got a response from activision that they are aware of the issue. Still not making it public though raises questions as to how committed they are to fixing the issue.

еconclusion after a week with Nvidia:
1. I lost a lot of money on this exchange
2. FPS became less, on medium settings, some high 165-220
3. There are no statters and lags game is very smooth

Conclusion: I am happy that I changed GPU, it was definitely my last GPU from AMD, I will no longer believe any reviews, why should I have high fps when I can't get a smooth picture and play for fun.

Got a nvidia on order now , which gpu did you go for ? , is it a lot smoother / consistent / how are the 1% lows ….

hey! 4070ti 12gb because he was the only one who agreed to switch, I tried to sell mine 7900 xtx for 650 euros and no one even wrote me.

1% 140+ when I was looking at him
but I don't look at the graph now cause the game is without statters.

yes it is smooth

Same issue on 9800x3d and 7900XT, tried every trick in the book. Something is broken in Verdansk.

Please AMD if you can fix this or devs on Warzone..

unfortunately it will be long if they manage to fix the micro lag.. never again AMD soon I will switch to Nvidia which is much more updated and controlled. The thing that makes me nervous is that AMD is a partner of Call of duty... how sad.

I found a solution, for me at least and finally i can enjoy warzone like it meant to be .

let me start by telling you i'm not a native english speaker so bear with me.

so i did EVERYTHING that i found on this and other forums and nothing worked for me ..

- i started with a fresh windows install

- i then boot into safe mode and used ddu to remove amd drivers

- i then installed updated gpu drivers

- i updated the bios , the chipset and everything you can update i did.

at this point still the same issues with low one percent frames and still jittering

it was way better but not perfect , after i went and optimized windows and bios setting with the best performance and latency settings , still not perfect , still jittery

i tried then with ISLC, timer resolution optimization and msi afterburner with frame limit to 190, 160, and 120 fps , still got some frame lag here and there, and then finally with the help of chatGPT and latencymon i foundout the problem was with audio ..the FKN problem was the bluetooth and audio drivers that were jittering the performance , i unistalled realtekhd audio, i deactivated bluetooth and now i can play at 1440p 240hz like butter on a bruschetta. i hope i was helpfull , there are some audio driver issues with amd and windows , i noticed that when i was getting shooted at my game was more laggy so i dive deep into audio drivers and it fixed it for me . try with the help of chatGPT i would never found a fix if it was not for GPT, and in the process i learned a lot of things too. now you can finally destroy those lobby , gg everyone 😃

Very strange fix … but eh what the hell il give it a go ! , thanks for sharing 👍

Totally unlogical - it happens only on verdansk, and i know that game audio engine is shared.

So i would really like you to see 1 minute of your gameplay on Verdansk with FPS, 0,1%FPS and 1%FPS

Dear VitaminD,

Ive read this and thought to myself this is not possible.

Went and tried it cuz no one made a reply to you.
My fps went up from 140 to 240. The gpu utilization still drops time to time to like 70%..but over all before it was sitting at 60 - 70% not its 70%-100%

I mind blown on how this actually the case..

Do you maybe know what 2 use as alternative to realtek?

Thank you so much!

Hi VitaminD,

When you said uninstall Realtek HD audio, what you mean ? The console or the driver inside the device manager ?

Thanks !

Guys, to be honest, they completely **bleep**ed up. The experience for the people that have this issue is completely **bleep**ed. AMD is partnered with Activision, and all the people that support Team Red and bought a high-end GPU are being completely ignored.

The rumor that AMD works better with Call of Duty is a myth. The same **bleep** happens with Al Mazrah / Urzikistan. We always need to tweak something in the config file to play this game. This game is not well optimized for AMD.

I primarily play COD / Warzone and regret my decision to go with Team Red. All my friends with an Nvidia GPU can run Verdansk butter smooth, even with their potato PCs.

It has nothing to do with other drivers or something else. It's because the game is not optimized for AMD. Activision clearly doesn't take AMD seriously, probably because all streamers and content creators use Nvidia.

It's the same story with Anti-Lag 2 and its silent release in COD—no facts, no stats, nothing. Nobody even knows if it works. Since 3 or 4 seasons, you can't even show your GPU temp in-game with AMD GPUs 😄 Since two releases of AMD Adrenalin, you don't see your average FPS for the game you're playing, and also the normal Anti-Lag is bugged.

This will definitely be my first and last GPU from AMD.

I swear the stuttering is getting worse too.

it is! Like they are trying and just makes it worse.

It's just straight-up absurd. They aren't even acknowledging this issue, nor do I get the feeling they are actively working on this. It's just sad at this point. It has been two weeks now.

Seriously,I just bought this card on March 27th specifically to play and stream COD,boy does that seem like a mistake now. Even when the game does play i still only get 120-130 fps on all low settings. It's terrible.

Every time "codupdates" posts a game update on Twitter, the most reports I’m seeing are from AMD 7000 series u and PS5 users. On PS5, it’s mostly noticed by those playing on 120Hz+ monitors, and I’m seeing a ton of reports. I’ve seen a few people mention this is also happening with some NVIDIA GPUs and even a few AMD 6000 series cards, but I doubt those are widespread issues — they seem more like isolated user-level problems since there are very few reports.

7900 XTX playing upscaled and frame generation. Get stuttering the moment a shot is fired during engagement. Perfect.

Very unfortunate that it doesn't work for you. I changed yesterday my GB bios version again from F32f to F33 (latest) & stay on 24.12.1 with my settings above (max. GPU-clk 2900). How I said before, a little tiny bit only sometimes & after hours playing in the night, one crash. It's not perfect, but playable & that's for me the most important thing at this moment!

And to everybody here - sorry for my bad english also from me, I hope you understand it somewhat. 😕

There is no fix, only ways to attempt to make it less noticable. Activision has said nothing.....which is not good for us. AMD can't fix it because it game related, not drivers, not overclocks, not windows, ect.

I still can’t wrap my head around how something that’s affecting so many people — especially since it seems to be hitting PS5 users too — can just be completely ignored. Seriously, it’s outrageous… it really makes you want to tell them to piss off and never touch another **bleep** Call of Duty again.
