Will I get 4k @60 on a Radeon R7 260x using DP to HDMI 2.0 adapter? For video playback only of course

I will be trying to playback basic 1080p and 4k video files using an r7 260x which has been working fine on an 1080p display, but with a 4k tv upgrade I am unsure how well it will work, and if I should buy a DP to HDMI 2.0 adapter because I've seen no reports of it working with this card.

You didn't mention the manufacturer of your GPU Card. But according to MSI R7 260X Specs it doesn't support 4k at 60hz which probably is similar to other R7 260X GPU Cards: Specification for Radeon R7 260X 2GD5 OC | Graphics card - The world leader in display performance |...
