No drive found - need help with drivers

Hi everyone,

I've been experiencing an issue with my PC for the past few days. It started freezing randomly, but there were no noticeable FPS drops or major stuttering. When the screen would go to sleep, the system would restart from the BIOS. After a while, it froze completely and got stuck in a boot loop.

When I tried to reinstall Windows, I encountered the "No Drive Found" error. I found a guide for Intel systems, but I'm not sure which drivers I should download to check if that resolves the issue. My motherboard is a B550 gaming X V2.

Any advice or suggestions on what drivers I should try or how to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated!

It's entirely possible the drive was causing the freezing issue and has failed. What drive is it and how is it connected? Do you have a spare drive you can swap out to confirm? Have you made any BIOS changes recently? Is it set to AHCI or RAID?

Installing Windows 10 or 11 on a B550 motherboard with SATA or NVMe drive should not require loading any drivers during setup unless you have a RAID array configured.
