Micro Stutter CoD WZ Verdansk 2025

Okay I’m experiencing horrendous micro stutter in WZ Verdansk 2025. I’ve got multiple systems, CPUs, GPUs, MBs, RAM I’ve tested with to narrow the issue down and it seems to be a AMD GPU specific issue in specificity Verdansk. At this point I’ve tried every iteration possible with the end result being micro stutter. So, I don’t have to list a million configs and the issue spans them all I’ll list current setup.

MB- MSI MEG GodLike latest drivers

CPU- 9950X3D Delidded w/Thermal Grizzly Water Block

GPU- Sapphire Nitro+ 7900XTX full coverage custom Water Block

RAM- Team Group T-Force 8200

PSU- Corsair 1600IX

The 7900XTX is on the latest Drivers currently, micro stutter remains on the 5 driver versions I’ve tried. Fresh windows install, core parking is working perfectly with Gamebar, I’ve also used another windows install with ProcessLasso with same results. I have used Nvidia GPUs on different windows installs and didn’t have the micro stuttering issue both 3090 and 3080 Ti. I’ve basically done all the trouble shooting I can on my end, and it seems to be AMD GPU specific. The game did just release so my best guess is it is a driver issue, since this problem only started when WZ updated to Verdansk 2025 earlier this week.

I really would like to know if others are experiencing what I am. I’ve seen the issue on both 7900XT and 7900XTX. Unfortunately it’s rendered the game unplayable, until something changes. Also if anyone has AMD GPU and isn’t experiencing micro stuttering please let me know.

also just FYI the old trick of limiting FPS to say 240 doesn’t seem to work either.

Doesn't work because fps drops to 50-60

Oh I’m aware, on Reddit that suggestion kept coming up.

same issue with 7800xt and 7800x3d the game was perfect until the Verdansk update, now the game is unplayable. Any response from AMD?

Exact same problem. Huge fps dips/stutters only on verdansk map. Rebirth is fine.

I think they need a Game update or a new driver for this Update.

totally agree but I am afraid they will take a lot of time to make it

Same here 7900xtx and 13900ks. Setting vram scale to 90 reduced it a bit but still to much to make the game unplayable

same for me ! with 9800x3d and 7900 XTX - tried a lot of things nothing works !

only limit the fps to 80 but that's crazy to play at 80 fps with this kind of hardware

Same issue 13900ks and 7900xtx.

There is two fixes for the issue.

1. Amd release an updated driver to sort the issue.

2. Activision fixes their **bleep**ty game.

I'm sure Activision won't do anything

Same issue - I'm on 9800x3d with 7900xtx

My game even crashes from time to time screenshot attached.IMG_8156.JPG

set the core frequency specified in the your GPU parameters in the Adrenaline game's performance settings.
I noticed that for some reason in this game my GPU raises the core frequency above 2900, and immediately direct x error
After I set the max kernel frequency, there was never an error.
for me it is 2565 Mhz, but also no errors with 2800 Mhz in my case

Delta Force had crazy stutters and now Verdansk as well. Had to do weird file replacement to even open Adrenaline. My old Nvidia 2080 is more reliable than my top of the line AMD card. Getting a 5080 or 4080 super as soon as I can find one close to MSRP. Sorry team red, fail me once shame on you fail me twice shame on me. 7900xtx power color hellhound and 9800x3d.

In other words, a game is screwed up, and AMD is to blame. Too much toxicity and misinformation.
Go to Nvidia, they've been using it for two months and 13 drivers, with black screens, burned cables, and corrupted VBIOS, and a GPU at 90% performance.

Same here, micro stutters to 80fps on Verdansk only. We need a driver update!

I think it is because of several potential reasons on the 7000 series in warzone: shader compilation issues (minor stutter occurred in urzikstan just prior to the s3 update, became much worse in verdansk s3), vram utilization or SAM, texture or asset streaming in verdansk. Verdansk was geometrically designed for very old hardware in an old engine. The new engine lighting, textures, mesh model or asset streaming system may not be well optimized for the map layout and obviously amd cards specifically. Hopefully AMD care enough to fix, because Microsoft/Activision certainly won't. I am going back to nvidia if it isn't fixed. AMD may be cheaper at launch, but they are actually more expensive if the cards don't receive ongoing driver support because of the shorter driver optimization window and usable lifespan of the card. My 3080 receives better support than my 7900xtx and it is 2 years older.

try downgrading. I switched to 24.10.1 from 25.3.1/25.3.2 to test any possible fixes and this worked for me with my 5700X3D/7800XT setup. microstutters to all hell making 200FPS feel like 60 and sometimes there would be either freezing or hard drops to 100FPS which is unplayable.

for sure it's a driver issue that's causing the regression and COD needs to be aware so AMD can fix it.

Did you fix the stuttering completely just by changing to those drivers? I've read a lot of people who tried them and it didn't seem to work for them. On Twitter, someone who specializes in optimizing PCs recommended trying them, and many people tried them, but the feedback was negative from everyone... I don't know if I should keep trying things anymore, nothing I've read has worked for me.

pretty much yeah. it was completely unplayable with microstutters and huge framedrops using 25.3.1/25.3.2 and even preview drivers. I have not tried anything beyond 24.10.1 because maybe I'd get something wrong later and might as well just use 24.10.1 while the game runs fine.

I'll run DDU and install them in a bit to give it a try. I haven't done it yet like I said, 'cause I saw a bunch of people saying the drivers didn’t really change anything for them. Feels like sometimes it's just the placebo effect. I’ll let you know later how it goes—so far, I’ve tested a ton of stuff and nothing's worked.

Just like I thought, switching to these drivers didn’t help... still stuttering.

I'm so glad I have found this post.

I have this problem also, spec below.

7800x3d - No overlock

RX 7900 GRE PowerColour

32gb DDR5 CL30 Corsair Vengeance memory

Corsair h100i AIO cooler - Temps never get above 65 degrees.

Rebirth runs at 300+ fps with no issues or stutters whatsoever, but Verdansk drops horrendously.

Im hoping we get drivers to fix it 😞

Hello!

I was experiencing the same issue and all I wanted to do was drop in Verdansk. I can't figure out what is going on at all but I was tweaking my settings and going into "Windowed" mode and not either of the Full Screen option made all of the difference for me. I was able to average somewhere in the high 200's or low 300's for FPS and no stuttering. It is annoying not being in Fullscreen but it allows me to play without the stuttering or horrendous framerates.

Hardware:

Hellhound 7900 XT

Ryzen 9 5950x

64 GB Ram CL30

Hope to see some comrades on the battlefield shortly!

Same massive stutter on 7900xtx 9800x3d on verdansk

if this isn’t sorted shortly il be leaving team red I’m spending more time trying to fix this than playing ..

top end graphics cards shouldn’t be having these issues!

my configuration:
13600kf
ddr 4 32 gb 3100
rx 7900 xtx
FPS drops by a second to 99 from 150-200
I've tried everything:
the only thing that helped
this: reduce the frequency to 120 fps ( and there is no longer a big gap in the fps drop )

Same Issues for me on the following config:

I9-13900k

32gb DDR5 2800MHZ

7900XTX (Driver 25.3.1)

Tried all the usuals, even lowering render res but Verdansk is the only map like this

Same issues for me here on my 7900xtx with a 9800x3D. I get like 250 fps at 3440x1440 but my 1% lows are dipping to like 80 fps ever 2 seconds..... The stuttering is so annoying I hope we can find a fix or AMD release a driver that can potentially fix the issue

Hi there, I gave this answer/tip here also in another thread, maybe it helps some of you, hope so!?! ...

-->Another thread for the huge stuttering & fps-drops problem here.<--

After testing with my old bios version F32f with the 24.12.1 driver, for playing only Warzone Verdansk, I can show you, what my way is at the moment, to handle the situation & playing some funny rounds - it works fine & almost without any stuttering - for me!

X3D Turbomode is on, Expo1 too & all the other things in the bios default or auto! Autostart apps boot only what you really need, how AMD. Give you here my AMD & CoD settings by any screenshots:

Edit: CoD-settings --> dynamic resolution --> expanded --> Target: 180fps

FidelityFX-Cas --> expanded: 50

With these AMD/CoD-settings, FOR ME the game looks fine, works fine, almost buttery soft, so I can truely play a few hours & have fun! Only one thing stays - the game crashes very rarely. For that, I reduce the GPU-clk now from 2800 to 2750, maybe then to 2700/2650/2600, if it chrashes again & again. I hope it will help some of you & pray to god, AMD/Activision will react. I report the error-code also again to both & gave them the link for this & one other thread here.

Another driver update after Verdanks release and still no mention about the micro stutters on the 7000 series. Probably not coming as well. They don’t care about us I guess. Time to switch to Nvidea?………

I had the same problem with micro stuttering in Warzone Verdansk 2025.

FPD varying a lot, I did several procedures, what worked for me was disabling GLOBAL C STATE CONTROL in the BIOS of my card, which solved the micro crashes.
