Hello, I want to talk about the problem that I am facing, and that many are facing as well, which is that the game Marvel's Spider-Man 2 crashes at the start screen. This is because the graphics card has not been updated to the latest version, which is 25.1.1, but it is not available on the Rx 580. It is sad to see that cards older than The Rx 580 from Nvidia received an update and works without problems, so I really hope that AMD resolves this matter.

There no driver updates from amd. But you can install 25.3.1 modded amd drivers that are stable than amd. If you want to install you can see the method ihave added above.

TLDR: Game crashes & is worse than the previous updates. Campaign with the the modded driver isn't possible in Windows. Only free-roam at night with 100% save file.

Details:

The game is worse with the new update (Adrenaline non modded/default version). Crashes after the startup screen.

As always, any YouTube videos claiming otherwise (with the non modded/default AMD software - 24.9.1) are poorly edited and clickbait (one even showed 4K GTA 6 gameplay, so you get the idea).

I will add a new comment eventually when new updates arrive.

My conclusion is that the RX series will never be able to run Spiderman 2 because it doesn't support DX 12.1. The RX series only supports DX 12.0. I'm sorry to say the RX 580 will rip...

Hi guys, I'm a little scared, they already released the minimum requirements for the port of The Last of Us Part 2 and again it says that the minimum requirements are an AMD Radeon RX 5500XT, which scares me since it's likely that the same story will repeat itself with the Spiderman port, which would be the worst thing since there is no unofficial port to enjoy it.

I might shift to NVIDIA just because of the regular driver updates.

It seems to be a game issue even for other high end AMD GPUs, but same thing happen with the RX 580 for AC Shadows. Even if it is fixed by Ubi at some point, will the issue for the 580 persist? Who knows?

As mentioned by users above, some are even concerned for The Last of Us Part II on PC.

A question to AMD - if you're releasing updates for Linux etc.  for the 580 (even how minute they are), why abandon your Windows' users? Because you don't want to? If yes, then adding a disclaimer with an expiry date with new AMD GPUs would be great.

An expiry date would be neat to have in amd cards, i am going to sell mine or at least try bcs anyone seeing sh1t like this happening wont buy this card, they would go to a weaker card that at least has updates than use this one, what everyone with old amd gpu's should do is upgrade to nvidia when they get the chance, amd doesn't care about old gpu's users.

The Last of Us Part II on PC by Nixxes runs. You just have to keep VRAM under 7.5 GB.

TLDR: Game does not even run. Campaign with the the modded driver isn't possible in Windows. Only free-roam at night with 100% save file. If you're following any YouTube video or claiming whatsoever, you're not correct. The game crashes at day time. Not playable on Windows even with the 8th patch.

Hi! Guys i solved the problem by playing the first mission sandman with that bad looking fix after that i removed it. The game runs perfectly after that on my rx 590. I am attaching the 1% save game file so you can also enjoy it.

hmmm this is strange. it can't work. only with 100 percent save and Night mode

Working in night mode is old info. Now it works in Cloudy day mode too.
Much better than fly around the city at night. Enjoy.

P.S. I don't know if it's important , but I installed the latest patch 1.408 and plus when entering the game in the launcher, I set FRAME GENERATION fsr 3.1 (in 2 fields)
