Games Crashing and Game Files Corrupting After Switching to 1440p

As the title says I switched to 1440p from 1080p, I was excited to play some games but was met with disappointment when most of the games that I play the most would crash upon starting or would start then crash shortly after. I noticed artifacts in programs such as chrome, Spotify and especially in Apex Legends shortly after the switch. I would get errors like 0x00001338 in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and engine errors upon engine errors in Apex Legends. Fortnite would crash upon start and Rainbow Six Siege did start but after the first game would lead to black screen that never went away.

I would try to verify the games files which didn't work, I tried all the compatibilty tweaks in windows (disabling full screen optimization and starting the launchers in admin mode and verifying the games' files). I tried uninstalling graphics drivers using DDU and AMD's own Cleaning Utility and reinstalling the GPU drivers using the AMD Adrenaline Software download. I tried reinstalling Windows 10 which I have done twice so far once through the "Reset this PC" option available through the OS and once through the Windows Media Creation Tool. I tried switching to older versions of the graphics drivers. I thought it was the cable so I switched DP cables but that still didnt work and even went back to my old 1080p monitor but nothing changed. I checked my GPU temps and frequencies, they were whithin normal ranges where my gpu reached 49c max in the minimal gaming I could do since the switch.

I contacted the partner that manufactured my card for an RMA but I believe AMD's drivers corrupted my OS after multiple reinstalls. Any help is appreciated and feel free to ask questions, thanks.
