Hi there.
I recently bought a Radeon RX9070XT (Power Color Red Devil). Card is great. I just experienced some issues with the drivers. I switched over from Nvidia to AMD again, removed the Nvidia drivers with DDU and installed the AMD drivers fresh. So far everything seems to work. AMD drivers behave differently than those of Nvidia - I am aware of that especially when it comes to shader caching and VRAM usage.
I experienced two issues with the 25.3.1 software so far which I want to discuss/report here hoping, that AMD optimizes the drivers. I am aware that there can be issues with a brand new product as an early adopter. But reporting/discussing them is essential.
Issue 1: With active ray tracing and AMD FSR 3.1 enabled, Hogwards Legacy behaves odd. Loading times are long while fast traveling, opening the map/menu results in a black screen until the game finally causes a driver time out. Without Ray Tracing and with FSR 3.1 deactivated, the game runs fine. Is this a known issue? Interestingly the game does NOT compile shaders while starting up which was always the case on the Nvidia side with every startup of the game.
Issue 2: After playing Diablo 4 for 2-3 hours the screen suddenly turned black, the game crashed. PC was unresponsive for a few seconds - the driver recovered and reported a driver dime out. I could restart the game and play another 2 hours without issues but the driver time out made me worry that this could be a larger issue. Is this also known and is AMD aware of the fact, that there seem so be driver time outs with the 9070XT, imho due to higher than expected gpu clocks.
Looking forward to your input.
