Hello,
I'm an appreciator of older games and like to play them from time to time. I recently (as of december of last year) upgraded to Windows 11 and have been getting an infuriating error every time I try to play one of these games. The game usually runs for 10 minutes or less before I get locked into a loop of the driver timeout error popping up and everything freezing. I've had 0 issues of this kind with modern games, think from the last 5 years or so. But this has been ridiculous. I've tried just about everything I could find online, and decided to probe here for more answers. I'm just one woman, I don't know everything, and I just want to play my older stuff.
Games tried are:
- Gears of War (PC edition)
- Unreal Tournament 2004
- Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion
- Team Fortress 2
- Garry's Mod
- several more from roughly those eras
