AMD Install Manager Failing to Install Chipset Drivers

With AMD update 25.3.1 it appears that chipset driver updates have been moved to the AMD Install Manager. The AMD Install Manager indicates that I should install updated chipset drivers. The problem I have is that that AMD Install Manager just sits there with the little loop going round and round and never downloads the update and never does the installation. So the "new" method for installing chipset updates does not work. Please help.

I am running Windows 11 Home on an HP desktop with AMD Ryzen 5 5600G and Radeon RX 6600 XT.  All Windows updates installed with no bugs. Never had an update problem before.

Using the “AMD Ryzen™ Chipset Driver Release Notes 7.02.13.148” (link bellow) I was able find my own work around as their suggested ones did not work or could not figure out how to do.  What I did was:

  1. Uncheck the automatic updates in the installer manger to ensure PC wouldn’t interfere
  2. Restarted PC to stop PC from attempting to install the chipset driver
  3. Went under the “C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\Chipset_Software\Qt_Dependencies” file then selected the “Setup.exe” which is the AMD Chipset installer” application
  4. Followed the prompts and allowed the application to make changes and restarted PC when prompted.
  5. Doubled checked in the “AMD Install Manager” from the “AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition” application and sure enough under the drop-down box the “installed” tab the up-to-date chip set was added.

Thank you GrumpyPotoo!! Your solution nailed it. Updated 5 chipset driver sets successfully and (apparently) fixed some other hidden problems with settings (the install log was LONG).
