Adrenaline 25.3.1 Chrome Issues

Fun side affect I get after installing 25.3.1

https://youtu.be/oyFOEnWtciM

Chrome is no longer fluid when moving the window, very choppy. They mentioned an issue with Edge and Youtube but this is more than that. Edge does the same thing. When you have multiple tabs open and attempt to drag them apart the driver freaks out and the screen flashes green and goes black, sometimes repeatedly. Happens with both Chrome and Edge mutiliple tabs or having Chrome and Edge both open did it as well. I love AMD but sometimes these drivers are one step forward, two steps back.

I am seeing the same black screen flashes (I use Edge not Chrome). It looks like HDR is turning on and off or something. The colors/brightness of everything on the display are changing after the black flash.

I dont have issues with moving the window being choppy though. Make sure your refresh rate is correct?

GPU: 6800 XT

MOBO: Gigabyte X570 XTREME

DISPLAY: LG C2

I reinstalled after cleaning with DDU in safe mode and it still does it.

Yea refresh rate is correct, I tried with auto HDR on and off too, no dice.  Turning off GPU hardware acceleration in Chrome/Edge fixes it so its def GPU driver related.  Unfortunately turning it off makes certain resource heavy sites load like crap

I have also observed similar issues, and I noticed that this may be due to an increase in CPU usage of a program called 'Antimalware Service Executable' when dragging the window. I posted a post to report this issue.

I have the same black full-screen flashing (always two flashes) when I do certain things in Chrome, such as drag a tab out of a Chrome window or when I have a Chrome window open but not maximized and I sweep the mouse cursor over the window.

I do not experience stutter or choppy movement when I drag the window, though.

It became so annoying that I rolled back to 24.12.1 which has been rock solid for me except an issue with Frame Rate Limiter not working properly.

Windows 11 24H2 with latest updates

Adrenalin 25.3.1

RX 7900 XT

Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43"

Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX

25.1.1 was fine for me, I rolled back to that.

It's not just Chrome. I'm having similar issues with VS Code. The behavior with my display is a several second HDMI resync which basically is just black screen.

I have the same issue with 25.3.1. If more than one video stream is displayed, FreeSync will be disabled. The toggle of VRR mode causing the black screens. I can reproduce it if I open 2 videos in 2 VLC player windows. My LG TV normally shows the VRR mode FreeSync Premium when displaying two videos the VRR mode is off. My TV then use other picture settings.

The workaround for me is to disable FreeSync (settings icon) in the driver. But this has negative effects on the power consumption and you have to change it when you play games.

Any one tried 25.4.1 to see if it's fixed?

Has anyone tried 25.3.2 to see if it's fixed?

Yes, it seems like 25.3.2 has resolved it.

I have done further testing and the issue is not resolved.

Thanks. Same issue, or new bad behavior?

Same issue with latest driver. Although before I was personally only getting the issue with chrome. Now certain games when I tab out and have other windows open, like steam for example, it goes crazy and starts flashing with the black.
