Can I use a 2x8pin to 12VHPWR cable on a 9070XT? Or should I stick with dual 8pins?

I just got my hands on a 9070XT today, and I'm planning to swap it with my old 4070 Super. The thing is, my PSU only came with one 8pin to 8pin cable, and the other one I got is a 2x8pin to 12VHPWR cable.

Now I’m wondering… can I actually use that 2x8pin to 12VHPWR cable with the 9070XT? Or is it safer/better to use two separate 8pin-to-8pin cables instead?

Would really appreciate some advice before I plug this beast in and maybe fry something.

My general advice would be to check with your PSU manufacturer to see if there's a cable you can order that will provide the 2x8pin as the GPU expects.

You can also order a PSU-specific cable from Cablemod, I just find Cablemod a bit pricy tbh

I would stick with the two separate 8-pin to 8-pin cables.

What PSU are you using?  Is it rated for 1 KW or higher?
