In the SDK, there are some nice samples on AMD IL.
Can you post some similar samples for R600 ISA as well?
It has been extremely tough to understand any of the R600 ISA without any "hello world" or matrix multiplication kind of samples.

We actually discourage writing applications down at the R600 ISA level. This may change as we use newer ASICs.

Is there a particular application or task you are trying to do that cannot be done at the CAL/IL level?

Well I was just hoping to get a better understanding of hardware by understanding the R600 ISA. But since you say that R600 ISA is not future-proof, then I guess I will just stick to AMD IL.

Yeah...

IL is what we intend to carry forward as the common interface between generations. As we go forward, it is our intention to IL backward compatible.
