Linux question: alternative to the DISPLAY environment variable?

Jump to solution

When I'm not locally logged into my Linux machine, my GPU wasn't appearing in the list of devices.  I tried running with DISPLAY=:0, and that fixed it.  However, what happens if I'm running a GUI program that's OpenCL accelerated?  Changing my DISPLAY environment variable would send the UI to the wrong place!

Is there some alternative variable I can set for the APP SDK, that will override DISPLAY?

Thanks!  I actually started to read those, but was too excited to try out some of the samples.
