Cheap notebook for OpenCL beginner

Hi there...

In order to learn OpenCL programming, I'm thinking about a very cheap notebook. What I've found, surfin' the Web all around, is this: Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14.

Please find here some specs.

CPU: AMD E1-2100 dual core @ 1 GHz

RAM: 4GB DDR3 @ 1600 MHz

The graphic card is the AMD Radeon HD 8210 that should works for OpenCL.

The point is: my budget is very, very low and what I really need is a platform to learn programming OpenCL. I'm also planning to install GNU/Linux with no Windows: no need to play videogames, no need to play HD videos, no need to waste my time on Facebook or similars. Just gcc, gvim and so on !

If that graphic card is good for a beginner as me, I think that such notebook is a good choice.

Any suggestions ?

Kind regards.

Marco.

I am almost sure that when I took a course on OpenCL in Houston, TX (by Acceleware by the way), the laptops have similar characteristics that the one that you posted... if you want just to learn OpenCL you do not need a workstation... hehehe.

Yes !

I need to learn OpenCL so, as newbie, I'm pretty sure that such laptop is fine !
