CAL not working. brook programs running on cpu

It was so obvious, so it took me very long to figure it out.
I was getting the message at running samples "cal not working. going back to cpu" (or similar) and renaming dll`s and reinstalling the grahpic drivers didn`t work. Everything was also alright in $(BROOKROOT) and path directories.
It took me about two days.
The first time in a long time my graphics drivers were messed up in the time of reinstall. After i Removed the drivers, used driver cleaner and then installed it again - it worked!
I post it in case it was any help.
