Before I bought my GPU (AMD RX 9070 XT) I had NVIDIA RTX 3070, I played my game (Rust) as usual on a stretched resolution (1440x1080) on a 1080p monitor and with an extension for a crosshair in-game which works through gamebar by pinning the widget (CrosshairX).
It worked fine, until I decided to fully reset my PC as common practice when upgrading any component.
I add the custom resolution to AMD Adrenaline so I have my 1440x1080 resolution available, it works as it should without pinning anything in XBOX Gamebar, but as soon as I pin anything, even just a monitor widget, black bars (letterbox) appear and the cursor is misaligned where it's actually clicking.
I've tried with NVIDIA again and fully reset pc, and the problem was solved, so it has to do with AMD and would like a solution as I'm selling my NVIDIA.
SPECS:
Game platform: Steam
Game Resolution 1440x1080 full screen
Windows Resolution: 1440x1080 (required since Rust is full screen windowed for optimization)
Windows version: 24H2
GPU: AMD RX 9070 XT
CPU: AMD 7 7800X3D
MOBO: MSI B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI
SCREEN: BenQ ZOWIE XL2540K
Adrenaline settings:
Scaling mode: Full Panel
GPU Scaling: Disabled
Integer Scaling: Disabled
Changed all settings in adrenaline to do with scaling mode, GPU & integer scaling, etc.. and nothing worked.
Very rare occasions when tabbing in and out, it works but it happened only ~4 times.
Also when using 1920x1080 sometimes it even shrinks it, I don't know how to explain this part as it only happened twice and have no clue how.
Note this only happens when I pin anything in XBOX Gamebar, so it has to do with how gamebar or windows scales? NVIDIA seem to have a more robust scaling method than AMD maybe?
Please fix or provide me potential fixes.
EDIT: I FOUND THE ISSUE!
Enabling Instant Replay causes this issue, I don't know why, but please fix this ASAP.
