I went outside.

I went for a drive to the local trail, and I couldn't find anything worth foraging, but I did get some nice pictures. I only had to edit some minor things, with the Windows photo viewer. Hopefully next time I can find some morels.

I might have to invest in an actual camera next spring.

I get by with an iPhone 13.  I can't remember the last time I powered up my old digital camera.

As Albert Einstein said, "I could have done so much more with a Big Al's Computer!".

I’ve been getting by just fine with my iPhone 15. I can’t even recall the last time I dusted off my old digital camera.

You can download Scarlet iOS for iPhone 15 from here

I got some shots of this years solar eclipse on my digital camera with filter that were simply not possible with a phone.

For general usage however a phone sure is more convenient to carry than a camera and accessory bag.

That is true. I can't really justify the amount of cash it would take to get a camera yet either but I am making a list of sub 500 USD cameras I might buy if I get any money for Christmas. I'm older though so I may end up having to save the old fashioned way.

I get great pictures on my Galaxy s23 ultra, the zoom is insanely far, albeit for the cost of clarity..

I still have 2 35mm cameras with 200mm and 300mm zoom lens, filters tripods, cable release, and numerous other accessories.  A Yashica Electro 10 and a Minolta 7000.  I had taken perfect photos of a full harvest moon at night with no flash and the shutter speed as slow as it would go.  Just put it on the tripod and use slow speed film and the cable release.

Is that last photo of the purple flower an orchid?

The landscape and topography look similar to where I live.  Only difference is I just have to walk out my back door or front door.  Closest neighbor is 1/2 mile and the Ohio River a 1/2 mile to the east.  It's enchantment year round.

If it ain't broke; don't fix it!
