The Jensen "5070 == 4090" comment is even more hilarious given how cheap nvidia is with memory. Like the video mentions per forced DLSS4 narrative, I always considered RTX to be a narrative to make nvidia GPUs look good. Every review would bring it up, but (thanks to old eyes?) I could never see much of a difference and it was definitely not worth the performance hit, which is why i went with a 7900 xtx.
The 5xxx generation is a non-upgrade (ignoring 5090 which is insanely priced, and not practical for just gaming needs), which gives intel and amd time to surpass the nvidia 5 generation. By non-upgrade, I mean they came up with a "super" version per performance and labeled it a new gen.
While googling about the next gen amd gpu, I stubbed across yet another new story on nvidia 5xxx gen issue. I avoided amd GPUs after 290 due to the amd 4-series simply not working for me, and nvidia is starting to creep towards that status with unusable product.
Never forget that AMD is a corporation too, and it really does not care about their customer's pocket book either. It's all about earning more per share per quarter. If they can make more profit on you for less, they will. AMD is simply not as egregiously in your face evil as team green.
