Adrenalin 25.6.1 has been released. Are you giving it a try?

We have a new June 2025 update to the adrenalin graphics software available here.  I've installed it on one of my computers that's running a Sapphire RX 7900 XT GPU.  Everything seems fine for me in World of Tanks - Blitz (the only game I play).  What are your experiences with the new update?

Yes sir. I am playing Splitgate 2 and a few other games lately. I need to finish the Oblivion Remaster at some point too. So far so good.

I've been running into several issues with crashing after alt-tabbing for a long while now. It used to occur once every 10-20 alt tabs or whatever, if I got lucky. Reinstalled windows and the whole thing.

Have a 6950XT, 7700x, 64GB of ram.

Well with this latest update (25.6.1) things will just crash without me even tabbing!

Not sure what's going on, where the incompatibility is. I'm running one monitor (1440p 144hz) with DP and another (1080p 72hz) with HDMI. Have heard there's a chance it has something to do with the HDMI but not entirely sold on that yet.

May have to downgrade for now so I can play games again without crashes every hour.

Try turning off Microsoft's Dynamic Refresh Rate (DRR), in the Settings / System / Display / Advanced Display location.

Thanks for your feedback. I've also tried 25.4.1 and 25.5.1 and both were giving me big instability issues running only single 240Hz DP monitor (also a 6950 XT). Seems like AMD fully focused on the new gen GPUs with AI and stuff fully forgeting about 6xxx series. Had to DDU and rollback to 25.3.1 which work like a charm and don't wanna experiment anymore with their newer drivers.

I may end up doing the same, thanks for pointing out a stable driver. It's a shame but hopefully AMD will pop back like they usually do to supporting older cards more adequately.

tryed it don't work for VR with my pimax crystal bad color screens all pixelated

25.6.1 and 25.5.1 and 2 I have to run 25.4.1

lol I think Pimax and AMD need to work  on it a bit

Stalker 2 started stuttering but that could be it being stalker 2 and final mission of a stalker game is always weird or glitchy like that

And Oblivion remastered I keep getting dips and the FSR4 function is just missing now.

Haven't tested it out for other games.

Did a clean install of the driver after I blue screened once.

What components are you using in your computer?  It sounds like you've had on-going problems with Stalker 2.  I'm guessing you are running an RX 9070 since you've mentioned FSR4 (which doesn't run on previous version GPUs).

Powercolor reaper 9070xt with a 9800x3d and 32GB ram

Planning to test with more newer games to check (for ex. Space marine 2)

Which program did you use for the clean install? When I clean install I use both DDU and AMD Cleanup Utility. If this doesn't work and the previous drivers functioned as they should, I typically switch back to those in the rare cases that the newest drivers cause problems.

Nope. It didn't look to offer much/any improvement for 7900 xtx user. I don't upgrade gpu drivers unless there appears to be some sort of benefit.

I hear this. If it doesn't mention my GPU in the change log I don't always update. I just want that new Onimusha game.

Everything is working fine for me on the previous drivers. I'm just gonna stick with these for awhile instead of tempting fate.

Ryzen 7800X3D - Radeon 7900XTX - MSI Tomahawk X670e MB - 64gb 6000mhz G-Skill Neo - Noctua NH D15 - Seasonic Focus V3 GX-1000W PSU - 4TB Samsung Gen. 5 NVMe - Fractal Torrent Case - ROG PG48UQ OLED

Its not going great.

Even on old drivers and new, I'm getting stutters that I haven't before.

Even desktop stutters, it been driving me mad.

Try using DDU to uninstall current graphic drivers and then reinstall your Adrenalin 25.6.1 driver.

Well,

i bought a new card, so i have no idea if the last driver worked the same, but here is my problem:

Screenshot 2025-06-08 195447.png

When the card used more power, i was only moving my mouse. The rx 9070 xt uses around 50W, when using my mouse, but no other tasks or tabs. When the mouse is not moving, it uses only 10 - 21 watt. But how? There is movement on the screen even without my mouse?!

So my question, is that driver related or working as expected?

After updating the BIOS and drivers for my PC's motherboard and Windows 11, and updating to Adrenalin Edition 25.3.1, I've been experiencing frequent blue screens and hangs that never stop.

I tried reverting to Adrenalin Edition 24.12.1 but it didn't work. I suspected a hardware failure and tried everything I could think of but it didn't work.

Therefore, I only had the Adrenalin Edition 24.12.1 graphics driver installed, but after installing Adrenalin Edition 25.6.1, I haven't had any problems for the past two days.

What GPU do you have? I don't see one listed.

Many have issues with sleep functions.

After a recent Windows update, the hang-ups and blue screens have reoccurred after the network is disconnected.

It seems that the AMD software after the Windows update is interfering, so I'm only using the 25.6.1 driver.

This problem has occurred on some PCs

It is caused by a Windows update conflicting with AMD SOFTWARE

So even if you revert to the stable AMD Software Adrenalin Edition, it will not be solved

You have no choice but to install and use only the graphics driver.

I've been having issues with Witcher 3 since Adrenaline version 25.5.1. The game crashes when raytracing is turned on. It usually freezes for about 30 seconds and then terminates to crash report window. Without raytracing, the game runs without any issues.

Last working driver version: 25.3.1

PC configuration:

GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 7800 XT PULSE GAMING 16GB

MB - ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS, BIOS rev. 3607

CPU - Ryzen 5 5600X

RAM: Kingston Fury Beast Black DDR4 3600 CL17 , 4x8 GB

Adrenaline:

+ Image sharpening

+ Anti lag

+ SAM enabled (Resizable BAR)

Witcher 3:

Is The Witcher 3 the only program crashing?

It seems to. I havent't noticed it in other games.

Ok, we hear you.  That used to be a 'feature' one or two years ago.

Is anybody experiencing since the previous driver graphical glitches and artifacts when using hardware acceleration in Chrome when you use Youtube or are browsing social networks like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok (happens in like bar and on TikTok in when you are selecting for you or following). The problem is that in some corners of those sites for a second appears a pink smudge(menu where you select your quality of video) with sometimes a checkboard effect when watching videos (very rare). Switching to OpenGL helps both it brings it's share of problems too...in positive news with this drivers the intensity has slowed down, both it's still very annoying and I have stopped using Hardware acceleration until this issue is fixed.

I must admit I haven't tried it yet, but I heard good things about this new software. Have to give it a try soon enough
