i recently had buy a XFX GTS RX 480 4GB and installed it.it crashed in games at its stock frequency (1266 mhz) and adrenalin driver aslo closed but when i lowered the frequency to 1140 or lower , it work without problem in games .... and also it happened in older drivers .... how can i fix this problem?!
all Drivers and bios are updated.
cpu:amd ryzen 1600x
mobo:asus prime x370-a
psu:530w
ram:12 gb 3000mhz
os:win 10 version 1909
gpu driver:Adrenalin 19.10.2
the temp goes 73-74 in firestrike ultra.
i already had a 1050 ti and it works properly on this spec.

Your PSU probably doesn't provide the required ampere value. With 1266Mhz and 1150mV, your GPU should be stable. Apply these values manually. If there is no proper result, you should buy a good PSU. I think around 600W and around 50A (for 12V) would solve a PSU problem.

are you sure it's because of my psu?

Yes, I am. 650W or better probably solves the problem.

1660 TI is much better than RX 480. And more likely to run quieter. With the 530W, RX 480 did not work properly. Even 1660 TI may not work.... ... RX 480 was released with too many OC versions, and you should use it without any problems with a good PSU and correct WattMan settings. Also you were supposed to check VRM temperatures.

i replace the psu to 700w and rx 480 crached in games again.so i sold it.
now i have a 1660 ti with a 650w psu although it works fine with 530w.

You stated that it is stable when you lower the RX 480 speed. This was misleading. Also...
I've used the RX 480 for too long and I've encountered crashes. I have stabilized it with the WattMan settings. With the 1660TI you don't need this kind of things. It will be stable.
