Which chip (APU OR GPU) will handle the graphic if crossfire is disabled?

I have set up dual graphics with A10-7850K APU and R7-240 GPU. If I disable crossfire on some applications in Radeon Settings, which chip(the apu or the gpu) will handle the graphic on those applications?

The one you have set as the 'Primary' in the bios.
