I am having problem with my laptop recently. I am clueless, as there were no alterations to my system(no updates, nothing installed or uninstalled) that could cause this.
System: AMD A8-6410 APU with Radeon R5 M240 (with switchable graphics)
Software: AMD Crimson ReLive 17.4.4
Windows Store apps such as Minecraft, and Happy Wars used to work on High Performance setting in switchable graphics. Now they crash at launch. They only work on Power Saving setting. My Steam games work fine with my discrete graphic card(which shows it works), but W10 Store apps only work on APU.
Also, when I get in to Display Adapter Settings in W10, it used to show more than 4GBs of VRam (Shared+APU+Dedicated), now it only shows 2412MB(No dedicated card). I think this could be the problem.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
This happens quite frequently with Win10....after a update from Microsoft. (automatic)
Do you have the computer Power Plan set to 'Performance' ? And..plugged in?
You need to update your graphics chip.
These are the latest drivers for your laptop Full version, not the "minimal") > APU
Try this first and see if that fixes the problem.
