Is virtual super resolution (VSR) only available in games that support higher resolution?  I have noticed that some of my computer games allow me to use VSR for a crisper image with my 1080p monitor, but other games limit me to plain old 1080p.

I'm curious if it's up to individual game developers to program their games to support VSR, or if it's something that can be made possible for all games with future updates to Radeon graphics drivers.

The game would have to support the resolution, the fact it's software trickery is transparent, and some games, especially older ones, don't have options for a higher resolution than 1920x1080, some even less than that.
