Vega 64 no display

The graphics card purchased seems to have power as the rear of the card gets hot while plugged in to monitor, but no display comes up. I have uninstalled re-installed windows, downloading the latest amd drivers both times. I have to have my gtx 970 in so the monitor comes up, and even though the Vega 64 is plugged in to one of the pcie slots it cant be recognized. Both 8 plugs are attached even through seperate cables, I have tried multiple ways.

Any help?

Hello,

If you plug the Vega 64 into a PCIe slot you know works (worked with the GTX 970) and Windows thinks nothing is there, the problem is most likely with the GPU itself.  You can try flipping the BIOS switch on the Vega 64 and see if it boots then, but failing that I would RMA the card and get a replacement from the vendor you purchased it from.
