I have a 1680x1050 display and with Virtual Screen Resolution its possible to use 1920x1080 with BlackBars.
This works for some Days. But after a restart it randomly doesnt work anymore, i get only stretched 1920x1080 but i want the BlackBars.
Im using the 17.2.1 Crimson Driver with a R9 285. I tried the 17.7 Driver but it doesnt work as well then i read that 17.7 has problems with the scalling mode and i changed to 17.2.1 again.
I tried it again and i get 1920x1080 with BlackBars, but after 5 seconds and a black sreen it changes to 1920x1080 stretched and its not possible to get the resolution with BlackBars.
I hope anyone can help me.
Sorry for my bad english but i hope you understand what i mean.
According to this > What Is Virtual Super Resolution and How Does It Work?
The supported resolutions are:
Target Display Timing | Supported VSR Modes |
1366 X 768 @ 60Hz | 1600 X 900 1920 X 1080 |
1600 X 900 @ 60Hz | 1920 X 1080 |
1920 X 1080 @ 60Hz | 2560 X 1440 3200 X 1800 3840 X 2160 (AMD Radeon™ R9 285, AMD Radeon™ R9 Fury Series) |
1920 X 1200 @ 60Hz | 2048 X 1536 2560 X 1600 3840 X 2400 (AMD Radeon™ R9 285, AMD Radeon™ R9 Fury Series) |
2560 X 1440 @ 60Hz | 3200 X 1800 |
My question is then why it works for 1 week without problems before the driver crash? And why it works now as well but only with stretching the resolution and without black bars?
