RX6900xt performing terribly in Valorant.

Hello,

Recently I was lucky enough to snag a 6900xt. However I was brought with disappointment when my new gpu literally got less fps than my vega 64. I got around 160 with my 6900xt but I was getting 230ish with my Vega 64!! What am I doing wrong? I closed out of all background applications and it's the same!

Specs:

Mobo - Asus ROG B550-F Gaming

CPU - Ryzen 9 3900x

RAM - Corsair Vengance RGB Pro (32gb, 3200mhz, 2 sticks, dual channel)

Storage: WDS100T2B0C-00PXH0 1TB M.2 and a Samsung 860 Evo 2TB SSD.

AIO: Corsair H100i Capplliex Elite?

PSU - EVGA 1000W Gold G5 Supernova (recently upgraded from RM850i)

I seriously cannot tell what is wrong!

I'd ensure everything is up to date, bios etc

I'd use DDU to uninstall all previous drivers (would run the intel/nvidia&amd cleaner just to cover everything any anything)

Then download radeon software again and see if it keeps happening

6000 series is notorious for absolutely unexplainable performance issues in random games.

For example (I also have a 6900XT) it barely manages 50+FPS in FlatOut 1 (but when Enhanced Sync is on it soars to the in-game cap of 100 and never falls, obviously for such an old game); similarly in Shadow Warrior DX9 it sits around 40-50-60 FPS mark, while in DX11 mode it easily tops at 120FPS (I limit at 120 globally via RTSS, with few exceptions that benefit from more). There were also reports of people having random framerate issues in other games:

Also antialiasing doesn't override properly in DX9 titles, and those which have built-in AA only work in multisample mode, even if it's set to supersampling in driver.

AMD needs to seriously get it together and up their work on the driver ASAP, or this 6900XT would be my only AMD GPU this decade.
