RX580 running at PCIe 2.0 1x, is it faulty?

#PC specs:

Intel core i7-4790

RAM 12GB DDR3

PSU 600W 80Plus Bronze

GPU RX580 4GB Sapphire Nitro+

2TB HDD 7200

Windows 10 (1809)

so i bought the RX580 in january, since i got it i had bad problems with some games, so i tried everything to solve the problem, because at the beginning i noticed that the frecuency of the GPU memory was super unstable, but then, in GPU-Z i saw that the GPU was working at PCIe 2.0 1x ínstead of PCIe 3.0 16x.

So i checked if the GPU card was slightly out of the slot or something like that, but everything was okay, the GPU was fully connected into the PCIe.

so i dont know if the GPU is faulty or what.

Well, i had this problema for more tan 50 Days, and today i checked GPU-Z, and it was running at PCIe x16. I don´t know what happen, i didn´t move anything.

so i think the problem solved, thank you for replying man

Video cards will reduce the PCI link speed when it is not needed, do not worry about it.

If games are not working, that is an issue to deal with

Yes, and that was my problem, the GPU was running at 1x when playing games, so in some games i had like 5 FPS. So they were impossible to play.

but thankfuly and magicaly the problem is solved i dont know why.

thank you for replying.

even at pci express 1 speeds a video card can still do full frame rate

somebody ran a Fury on x1 to show one lane can even work
