Hello.

I just bought a new monitor (MSI Optix G241) and I would like to receive the signal via Displayport.

The problem is that my RX580 seems to not work throught Displayport. On the other hand, via HDMI and DVDI it is working perfectly.

I already tried the following things:

1- I delete the GPU drivers with DDU and reinstalled them.

2- I updated BIOS drivers

3- I shutdown the PC and withdraw the cable from it to completelly reboot the monitor.

Can someone support me and tell me how to send the signal via Displayport?

DP cable may be broken. Have you tried a different cable?

It is a brand new DP cable. I think it must work perfectly.

By the way, I will try with a new DP cable just to confirm.

Hello.

A friend told me that if my GPU got displayport 1.4 and my monitor got entry of displayport below 1.4, I will never receive signal. Is that true?

In example: 

- monitor 1.4 and GPU 1.4 ---> working

- monitor 1.2 and GPU 1.4 ---> not working

- monitor 1.4 and GPU 1.2 ---> working (on 1.2 vel)
