RX570 8GB - DVI D not working with dual monitors

I have 2xiiyama 27" 2560x1440 QHD monitors. The DVI D connector works with neither monitor. It was OK with a 24" ASUS. I've tried resetting a monitor to 1920x1080 but does not work. Fault window shows as signal cable not connected. 

Screen does not show in display settings.

Ryzen 9, 64GB RAM. Win10 Home. 

Got me floored.

It would appear that the cable broke when I removed it from the ASUS, or perhaps when I plugged it into the iiyama. Visually no damage. Not wanting to be without a dual setup, I plugged the ASUS back in with no response. Dug out another dual DVI D and it's fine.
