Jump to solution

My PC Specifications :

Mobo: MSI B350M Bazooka.Bios: 7A38v1G
CPU: Ryzen 1600x @Stock
Rams: Crucial Ballistix Elite 16GB DDR4 3200. @3200HZ XMP.
GPU: Sapphire RX 5700 XT Nitro+.
PSU: XFX 650S Bronze.
OS: Windows 10 20H2 Pro x64
Driver Version: 20.10.1.

Symptoms: Black Screen Then Freeze Buzzing Audio Crash / BSOD.

Causes: Sudden Black Screen Crash Relate to Insufficient Rams Stability / Power.

Sudden BSOD Crash Relate to Insufficient CPU Stability / Power / Something Else Depends on the Event ID Number.

Possible Resolutions:

1- First Before You Begins You Need To Stress Test Your System for Overall Stability With tools Like

Handbrake (Perfect For CPU) - MSI Kombustor (Perfect For GPU) - Memtest86 (Good For RAMS) - OCCT (Good For Power & Overall Stability) If Everything Seem Fine but You Still Run Into Issues with Your GPU Then Try The Next.

2- Overclock & Increase Your CPU Voltage.

3- Cancel XMP & Try Lower Frequencies from Motherboard With the Voltage Which Was Declared On Your RAM Stick.

4- Updating Bios & Clean Installing Chipset Drivers.

5- Install Last Known Stable Driver For Your GPU.

6- Install Driver Only Without Radeon GUI Using Windows Device Manager.

7- Disable Hardware Acceleration Inside Apps If Possible.

8- Clean Old Drivers Using DDU then Install Latest Drivers.

9- Set A High Performance Power Plan From Windows Power Options.

10- Try A Lower Refresh Rate Than Display's Maximum Refresh Rate.

11- Roll Back To the Last Worked Bios.

12- From Your Motherboard Bios Set PCIE Speed to GEN 3.0 Instead Of Auto & Enable UEFI Mode & Disable CSM.

13- Increase GPU's Power Limit By 20% In Radeon Settings.

Note:

Use Only Whatever Works With Your GPU Don't Follow All The Steps.

Special Thanks Goes to:

Sapphire RMA Department For Clearing Some Stuff.

GreyWolf From Nvidia Foums For Clearing Difference Between BSODs & Sudden Black Screens Crashes.
