RX 480 video issues in every driver version since last November

I've been having this issue with my Gigabyte RX 480 8 GB model where video playback is bugged.

In VLC, video is corrupted with horizontal green bars and lines.

In the browser, video playback will cause the graphics driver to crash.

The latest driver I can get to work without crashing and playback issues is 20.11.3.

Here are the rest of my system specs:

Windows 10 21H1
Intel Core i5-11400
Gigabyte RX 480 8 GB
ASRock Z590-ITX/ax motherboard
16 GB DDR4 RAM
500W EVGA power supply

I don't have video playback issues but you're correct that there wasn't a single driver since November that didn't introduce major bugs, performance problems and crashes, even physically impacting my monitors smh. I'm also on an RX 480 with 8 GB.
