Describe your issue:

  • I've just installed the GPU yesterday to my system from using a nvidia 1050ti. Every so often (seems to be random) my two monitors go black. I haven't found an actual fix for it. I've turned off hardware acceleration on discord because it happened once when I joined a video call on there. It has been happening during idling, watching videos or booting games such as rocket league. It would happen 2-4 times in an 8 hour session.
  • The games I play are all on medium quality with 1920 x 1080 mostly at 144hz.

I don't know if this is a drivers/microsoft or hardware issue so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have tried something that has worked so far, i uninstalled the most recent radeon software and gone back to the 2019 (19.11.2) version. No black screens in 2 days so this seems to be a fix. I also turned off hardware acceleration on discord.

I was about to give up with a Sphire Nitro+ 5700 XT. Random reboots when playing, using windows etc. Tried all possible drivers, tricks, windows hacks. Nothing.

Then, I found a post about undervolting the card, I was suspecting a PSU problem, but having a 750 PSU when the recomended setting is 600W, I didn't want to believe. I tested the undervolting and the card started to work better, to the point I was able to play with not crashes. I ended up replacing my 750W bronze PSU for a 850W gold rated PSU. Clean windows install, latest drivers, everything worked as it is supposed to.

Hope this help someone else.
