R7 250 spins up fan to high RPMs once every minute when monitor is in sleep mode
We have just started deploying Dell OptiPlex 9020 desktops with R7 250 video cards. A behavior has been noticed from users that when the monitor goes into sleep mode they hear a fan noise spin up to high RPMs and stops. This happens approximitley every minute and has been observed on all systems I have looked at. I watched the video card fan with the case cover removed and can confirm it is the video card fan. The computers are running Windows 7. The video driver is the latest from Dell. I installed the latest Crimson driver from AMD, which made no difference. Any ideas?
