"Junction Temps"

I have a Radeon 7 as we know the "Junction Temps" can get kind of  high. We are all problem solvers and or makers - So I came up with a  question on the subject for myself. Where might these "junction temps be generated from. I assume inside the GPU (if I was taking odds) or could it be just around the GPU (the socket ring or what ever u call it) or maybe on the board where the ram etc are located ? Please keep it simple - only trying to address possible cooling approaches.

All GPU's have high junction temps, most GPU manufacturers hide this info but for some reason AMD is showing theirs.

Storm in a tea cup, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

So I will assume the junction temps created inside the actual die of the GPU .

Thank You
