There are Insert Photo and Insert Video options at the top of this text editor
Insert  Photo used to work for me until I hit the 1000 pictures limit.
I will likely just upload photos to my Steam Gallery and point a link from here from now on. 
I have never used insert video. 
I used to create video and upload to youtube and give a direct link to the upload here.
